- Collecting, experiment, practicing, and brainstorming
- In-class narrative drafting
- Independent first draft due
- Revising and Editing
- Final published narrative due at the beginning of class (See below for final draft packet guideline)
- Publishing Party
Memoir Guidelines. Your memoir should...
- Be written in 1st person
- Be 2-4 pages in length
- Include an original, creative title
- Have a clear structure including a beginning, middle, and end
- Focus on one or more collected small moments that express a larger meaning
- Be edited to show off all that you know about grammar, punctuation, and spelling conventions.

- Editing checklist
- Final typed personal narrative
- Any and all earlier drafts and revision work
